On April 28 and May 1, 2024, the 6th International Music Festival Road to Yalta will be held at the State Kremlin Palace. Songs about the Great Patriotic War will be performed from the main stage of Russia in the native languages of vocalists from 15 countries.

The festival was first held in Yalta in 2019, and soon it became one of the most significant annual cultural events in the country and the most striking television projects dedicated to the Great Victory of the Soviet people in the World War II. Since 2022, Moscow has been hosting Road to Yalta. The concert's live broadcast is watched on city screens by residents of many Russian regions. Viewers from dozens of countries join the online broadcast. To preserve and convey through songs the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, to glorify the image of the Soviet and Russian soldier-liberator, to remind of the terrible price that our country and our people had to pay for getting rid of the plague of fascism – this idea was laid in the festival Road to Yalta by its president Andrey Kondrashov and artistic director Ernest Mackevicius. Dozens of singers around the world who took part in the festival became the promoters of this idea, and their number is growing every year.

The Road to Yalta festival is held on a competitive basis. In 2024, the organizing committee received 210 applications from vocalists from 55 countries. In the online selection round, the jury determined 15 foreign participants who are invited to Moscow - their competitive fate will be decided by the results of the concerts in the Kremlin Palace. Representatives of China, Republic of Congo, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Italy, Madagascar, Mongolia, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey entered the 2024 finals, which will be held in two stages.

Solo performances of vocalists, where they will perform Soviet songs about the war in their native languages, will be held on the first competition day - April 28 - in the Small Hall of the State Concert Hall. And on May 1, in the final gala concert in the Great Hall of the State Concert Hall, foreign singers will perform duets with the stars of the Russian stage: Zara, Yaroslav Sumishevsky, Ekaterina Guseva, Dmitry Dyuzhev, Alexei Maklakov, Polina Agureeva, Alexei Petrukhin, Yuta, Anna Bolshova, Alexandra Vorobyeva, Vasily Gerello and others. And this year there are 15 of them too!
