International Music Festival
«ROAD TO YALTA»

The International music festival «Road to Yalta» has finished in Moscow. Since 2019 the Festival was annually held in Crimea, but in 2022 it took place in the capital. During 2 days, 2 and 3 May, vocalists from 15 countries competed for victory and audience applause. The event took place in the Moscow musical theatre. The most famous and loved songs about the Great Patriotic War were performed by the foreign artists in their native languages.
The winners were decided by the competent jury headed by Lev Leschenko, Mikhail Shvydkoy, Valeria, Zara, Denis Maidanov, Kai Metov, Vadim Volchenko.
The winners are:
1st place – Karen Lisbeth Sosa Limones (Ecuador), «Beloved town»;
2nd place – Yang Pu (China), «Farewell! We are living the cliff-shore»;
3rd place – Marco Dolaš (Serbia), «What is the beginning of Motherland».
Special prizes were awarded to:
Dana Kucherovsky and Itay Oren (Israel), «Upon a summit with no name»;
Ines Kuello (Argentina), «A Ballad of a mother»;
Joshua Orabiy (Nigeria), «Lizaveta»;
Guillaume Rat (France),«An Accidental waltz»;
Amato Scarpellino (Italy), «A Moldavian girl».
The special prize from the General partner, «EuroTransStroy» company, was awarded to:
Thomas Grzazioso (Italy), «We are aviators» (not in the competition).
The special prize from the partner of the Festival, «Canonpharma production» was awarded to:
Lee Wook Jae (Korea), «In the frontline wood».
The final gala-concert featured popular Russian artists who performed in duets with the foreign contestants: Sergey Voitenko, Vasily Gerello, Marina Devyatova, Albert Zhalilov, Zara, Igor Kornilov, Vladimir Levkin, Ekaterina Linkovsky, Alexey Maklakov, Dmitry Murin, Alexey Petrukhin, Yulianna Rogacheva, Yaroslav Sumishevsky, Sharip Umkhanov, Uta.
Some of the participants of the previous festivals starred as special guests and also performed famous Russian military songs: Linor Gauman (Izrael), Eduardo Breff and Yoel Romero (Cuba), Thomas Grazioso (Italy).
Both semi-final and final concerts were anchored by Tatiana Remezova and Ernest Mazkiavichus.
The Festival’s end was traditionally marked by the signature songs «Dark is the night» in native languages of all the participants and «The Victory Day» performed by Lev Leschenko.
The final was broadcast live on digital screens were installed in Yalta, Simferopol, St. Petersburgh, Grozny, Makhachkala, Nizhni Novgorod and other cities. The live broadcast could also be accessed on the «Smotrim» online platform and web-resources of the «Sputnik» news agency.
TV version of the final was presented to the audience on the Victory Day’s eve, 8 May at 19:45 on «Rossiya – Kultura» channel.
The Festival was organized by the «Humanitarian World» Fund which implements major socially significant projects. The International music festival «Road to Yalta» is held with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Republic of Crimea, All-Russia State Television and Radio Company, the National Fund for the Support of Copyright Holders.
