On November 28, TASS held a press conference to launch the international cultural and humanitarian initiative «For the Sake of Life on Earth» which unites artists and public figures from Russia and Europe around the idea of protecting historical memory and peace among nations. The idea's originator is Slovenian musician and artist Sašo Gacnik, a 2024 festival laureate: «My goal is to fight for friendship among nations and to preserve historical truth, which, under the influence of irresponsible politicians in the West, is rapidly being erased from memory. After all, every forgotten tragedy of the past brings us closer to repeating the same terrible path.»
The first concerts of «For the Sake of Life on Earth» have already taken place: on November 25 at the International Research Center of World War II (Maribor, Slovenia), in the building of a former prisoner of war camp where more than 5,000 Soviet soldiers died, and on November 28 at the Victory Museum in Moscow. The artists who supported Sasho will subsequently perform in many cities across the country. Emmanuel Forest and Yulia Boboren, bronze medalists at the 2025 «Road to Yalta», Arthur Garfunkel Jr., a participant in the 2023 festival, Vadim Samoilov, Sergey Voitenko, and Ekaterina Guseva will take part in the project's concert series next year.
